QFAB has been awarded a fabrication, construction, and loadout contract by McDermott for the QatarEnergy LNG North Field South (NFS) Offshore Pipelines and Cables Project. This new contract is in addition to the fabrication, construction and loadout awards received by QFAB earlier for the NFS Jackets, and the North Field Expansion (NFXP) Wellhead Platform Topsides and Subsea Structures.

QFAB is responsible for the fabrication & construction of most of the offshore subsea infrastructure (excluding pipelines) associated with Qatar’s massive North Field Expansion.

The scope of the contract comprises 11,700MT of subsea structures including Drop Object Protection, subsea TEE, WYE skids, Sleepers, Spools & Risers for offshore gas pipelines connecting five new offshore wellhead platforms (jackets built by QFAB) with two new onshore LNG trains in addition to subsea composite power and control cables.
